ChangeLondon was founded in 2024 by a group of Londoners who love this city but felt frustrated by how slow and unresponsive local government had become. Born and raised here, we know London not just as a place on a map, but as our home — where families grow, businesses operate, and communities thrive. Yet, too often, critical issues like housing affordability, traffic congestion, unsafe intersections, rising crime, homelessness, and downtown decline have gone unresolved. Citizens who care deeply about their neighborhoods often feel powerless to make a difference, held back by bureaucracy, lack of access, or simply not having enough time to attend council meetings.
Our founding team includes people from all walks of life — parents worried about safe neighborhoods for their children, professionals frustrated by inefficient city services, students and young adults eager to build a future here, and longtime residents who have seen the city change over decades. We realized that Londoners were united in recognizing problems, but divided in their ability to act. Some were busy with work and family, others hesitant to confront City Hall directly, and many simply didn’t know where to begin.
We were inspired to create a platform that bridges this gap, giving Londoners a way to have their voices heard without the obstacles of traditional civic engagement. ChangeLondon.ca allows residents to create petitions, raise awareness, collect verified signatures, and submit them directly to City Hall, all while protecting privacy and making participation simple and accessible. It was clear to us that if Londoners could act collectively, even the most challenging city problems could be addressed — from housing issues like inflated basement rentals and difficulty qualifying for mortgages, to traffic and road safety concerns, to downtown decline and crime, to systemic issues with city processes and public services.
The early days of building ChangeLondon were not easy. Developing a secure, user-friendly platform required long hours, technical problem-solving, and outreach to a city skeptical of yet another initiative. Funding was limited, and gaining the trust of Londoners took time. But every small victory — a signed petition, an engaged volunteer, a community member sharing our platform — reinforced why this work matters. Each story, each concern from a resident, reminded us that change is possible when Londoners act together.
We also recognized that city issues are not confined to municipal boundaries. Some problems require advocacy at the provincial and federal level, whether it’s ensuring fair student immigration and housing policies, improving healthcare and addiction services, or adjusting broader economic and urban development regulations. ChangeLondon is designed to amplify local voices while also creating the possibility of influence beyond City Hall.
Our story is one of commitment, community, and courage. We are ordinary Londoners who refused to accept stagnation and inaction. ChangeLondon.ca is the result of our belief that every citizen deserves a platform to speak, every voice matters, and meaningful change is achievable when we work together. We envision a London where residents actively participate in shaping policies, holding officials accountable, and ensuring a safer, more prosperous, and inclusive city for generations to come.
Today, we continue to grow — expanding our volunteer network, seeking partnerships, and building awareness across neighborhoods. While we have accomplished much in a short time, this is only the beginning. ChangeLondon is not just a website — it is a movement, a call to action, and a promise to every resident that their concerns will not be ignored.
We're perhaps not going to change the world. But at least let's change our own city (for the better).

We want to extend our sincere thanks to Vixeemo Business Solutions for their invaluable support in helping us build the foundation of ChangeLondon.ca. When we decided in 2024 to start ChangeLondon, Vixeemo was one of the first local companies we reached out to for guidance and technical assistance for hosting, website, and business processes.
So, Eli & Cathy, thank you!! From website hosting to setting up the initial platform, their team has been extremely supportive, knowledgeable, and approachable, helping us turn our vision into a reality. Vixeemo provided all services completely free of charge. Their expertise and encouragement have been instrumental in giving Londoners a safe and effective space to raise their voices and make a difference in our city.
Thank you, Vixeemo, for being a partner in change.
London is a city full of opportunity, but it faces serious challenges:
Housing affordability and regulation
Traffic congestion and unsafe intersections
Public safety, homelessness, and downtown decline
Inefficient city processes and lack of citizen input
Too many citizens agree these issues exist, yet feel powerless to act. They may be busy, introverted, anxious about public confrontation, or simply unaware of how to engage. ChangeLondon bridges this gap, providing a safe, accessible, and effective way for Londoners to participate in civic life.
Our platform allows residents to:
Request petitions for local, provincial, and federal issues.
Raise awareness across the city and beyond.
Collect verified signatures efficiently and securely.
Submit petitions to City Hall with credibility and impact.
Follow up and advocate for real change.
By making civic engagement digital, easy, and trustworthy, we empower Londoners to hold decision-makers accountable and shape the city for future generations.
At ChangeLondon.ca, we know that every Londoner’s experience is unique — and every voice counts. Your stories add to existing petitions and help bring issues to life, showing City Hall and fellow residents exactly how local challenges affect real people.
You can contribute in two ways to petitions:
Official Submissions – Share your personal experiences or opinions directly related to a petition (shared anonymously is an option). Your story will be included with the petition, giving it more impact and helping decision-makers understand the real-world effects of the issue.
Comments & Discussion – Not ready to submit formally? Participate in the community discussion, add your insights, or support others’ stories. Every contribution strengthens the collective voice of Londoners.
By sharing your experiences, you’re turning abstract problems into tangible realities and helping create change that matters. Your voice, your story, your city — together, we can make a difference.
Since our founding in 2024, ChangeLondon has:
Built a secure, user-friendly petition platform.
Connected with early supporters and volunteers who are helping us expand our reach.
Started building partnerships with community groups, local experts, and civic-minded organizations.
We are actively expanding our volunteer network and are seeking sponsorships and collaborations with local businesses, media outlets, and civic organizations to strengthen our impact.

ChangeLondon is more than a website — it’s a movement. Our long-term vision includes:
Forming a not-for-profit organization to formalize operations and enhance credibility.
Becoming a registered charity or clause organization, allowing tax-deductible donations and broader support.
Collaborating with local business advisors to create sustainable funding, mentorship, and community growth programs.
Expanding educational resources to teach Londoners how to participate in government and civic engagement effectively.
Through these steps, we aim to create lasting change in London, ensuring that citizens’ voices are heard, valued, and acted upon.
We believe that change happens when citizens act together. Whether you sign a petition, start one, volunteer, donate, or share your voice, you are part of a growing movement to make London a better city for everyone.
ChangeLondon isn’t just a website — it’s your tool, your voice, and your community.
