Welcome to ChangeLondon (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using https://changelondon.ca (the “Platform”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
ChangeLondon is a community-driven petition and engagement platform for residents of London, Ontario, Canada. It allows individuals to:
Create and sign petitions
Share opinions and comments
Access information and resources related to civic issues
The Platform is intended to give Londoners a voice. However, petitions and opinions posted on the Platform do not necessarily reflect the views of ChangeLondon or its team.
To use the Platform, you must:
Be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your province, whichever is higher).
Provide accurate information when registering or signing petitions.
Use the Platform for lawful purposes only.
You may register with your email address or a social media account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You agree not to impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
ChangeLondon reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Users may create petitions on issues relevant to London, Ontario, or broader provincial/federal matters that affect Londoners.
Petitions must be truthful, respectful, and not defamatory.
ChangeLondon may review, edit, or remove petitions that contain false, misleading, offensive, or unlawful content.
Signatures collected will be verified to the best extent possible, but ChangeLondon does not guarantee absolute accuracy or eligibility of all signatures.
By posting comments or participating in discussions, you agree to:
Remain civil and respectful toward others.
Avoid hate speech, harassment, threats, or discriminatory content.
Refrain from posting spam, advertisements, or irrelevant content.
Violation of these rules may result in comment removal or account suspension.
By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.
Your personal details (e.g., name, address) may be required to validate petition signatures, but identifying information will remain confidential when petitions are submitted to City Hall or other bodies, unless required by law.
All content on the Platform, including logos, design, and text, is the property of ChangeLondon unless otherwise noted.
Users retain ownership of the content they submit but grant ChangeLondon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and share it as part of the Platform.
Donations made to ChangeLondon are voluntary and non-refundable.
Sponsorships or collaborations with local businesses will be clearly disclosed.
ChangeLondon is currently not a registered charity, but may pursue not-for-profit or charitable status in the future.
The Platform is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.
ChangeLondon does not guarantee the success of any petition or that governments will act on submissions.
We are not responsible for user-generated content, nor for the actions of third parties (e.g., government responses, media coverage).
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
ChangeLondon shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our total liability to any user shall not exceed the amount (if any) paid by the user to ChangeLondon in the last 12 months.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you:
Violate these Terms
Misuse the Platform
Engage in unlawful activity
Termination may occur without notice.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of London, Ontario.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Updates will be posted at https://changelondon.ca/terms-of-use with a revised “Effective Date.”
